
Catie Hoff, PsyD, LP (she/her)
APPROACH
Dr. Hoff is a licensed clinical psychologist who believes that healing happens within relationships. She prioritizes creating a warm, collaborative, and empowering space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Her approach is grounded in a deep respect for diversity, culture, intersecting identities and lived experiences. She often draws from evidence-based theories such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Relational Cultural Theory, Feminist Therapy, Relational Psychodynamic Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs. Her work is trauma-informed, recognizing the profound impact of past experiences while fostering resilience and growth to lead a more connected and fulfilled life.
CLINICAL INTERESTS
Dr. Hoff provides individual psychotherapy to adults across the lifespan from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on young adults, college students, women, perfectionists/people pleasers and LGBTQ+ individuals. She enjoys supporting clients as they navigate relational challenges, sexual identity development, and life transitions such as grief, loss, trauma, and career challenges to show up as their most authentic, true selves.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Dr. Hoff has education, training and clinical experience providing psychotherapy, psychological and neuropsychological assessment to children, adolescents and adults. As a military spouse, she has lived and trained across the country in urban and rural settings with diverse individuals. Her training focused on social justice, understanding the impact of culture, race, gender, ability status, sexual orientation, nationality, and experience of marginalization on mental health. Her career spans a variety of settings, including university counseling centers such as Boston College and University of Illinois- Chicago, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and community mental health centers. Dr. Hoff has a background in business leadership prior to her career in psychology; her expertise in team development, training and mentorship enhances her ability to collaborate and create effective therapeutic alliances with clients.
