
Wendy Floss, BA, Mental Health Practitioner (she/her)
Wendy is a mental health practitioner who works with individuals (12+), couples, and families in improving their personal and relational wellbeing.
APPROACH
Wendy meets her clients where they are with nonjudgment and acceptance. With warmth, humor, and empathy, Wendy supports her clients in working toward their goals and inviting ease into their lives. She resists a one-size-fits-all script and believes the knowledge and ability to uniquely live life well resides within her clients waiting to be discovered. Wendy delights in providing strengths-based, sex positive, and queer affirming care. As a registered yoga teacher, she enjoys integrating guided meditation, mindful breathwork, and body awareness into sessions to foster holistic wellbeing.
CLINICAL INTERESTS
Wendy’s clinical interests include relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, identity exploration, premarital preparation, and spiritual concerns. Additionally, as a practitioner of yoga, her interest in the mind-body-spirit connection and its impact on mental and physical wellbeing is ever present.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Wendy earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Hispanic Studies from Creighton University in Omaha in 2011 and is in the process of completing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. As a pre-licensed clinician, she is working under the supervision of a licensed marriage and family therapist while completing the requirements for licensure and is committed to continuous learning and growth. Wendy has received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (an attachment-based modality) and Prepare/Enrich (a premarital and marriage assessment). With a background in education, Wendy has experience collaborating with adolescents and their families
PERSONAL
In her free time, Wendy plays pickleball, practices yoga, and uses any excuse possible to celebrate life with friends and family.
