Jacey Aili, MA, Mental Health Practitioner
APPROACH
Jacey is a mental health practitioner pursuing a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. Jacey believes in the power of safe relationships to transform our everyday lives, neural pathways, and move us from stances of bitterness, fear, and shame to postures of acceptance, courage, and confidence. Her clients will find safety in their relationship with her and notice their ability to replicate this experience of safety growing. She provides a grounded, non-anxious presence in the face of overwhelming circumstances, equipping her clients with the evidence-based practices and resources to support flourishing in their relationships with significant others, family members, friends, and themselves.
CLINICAL INTERESTS
Jacey walks alongside individuals as young as 7-years-old, couples, and families. Jacey finds special interest in walking alongside folks navigating perfectionism, anxiety, marital distress/conflict, parenting, faith/spirituality, sexual issues, shame, family dysfunction, and grief/loss. Jacey often draws from evidence-based theories such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. Jacey believes in the cyclical relationship existing between our bodies and minds and strives to prioritize body-based awareness in her interventions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Jacey earned her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Developmental Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Her background includes working with children and adolescents in educational, mentoring, and faith-based settings, as well as supporting families and youths walking through crisis, transition, and mental health challenges with genuine compassion. These experiences continue to shape the care she provides in her clinical work.
PERSONAL
Outside of the therapy room, Jacey enjoys listening to music, movement, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her loved ones—ideally with a cup of coffee in hand and all of those things happening at once!
