
Ben Monseth, MA, LMFT (he/him)
Ben is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His areas of competency include marriage and family
therapy as well as individual therapy, skills training, and psycho-education with children, adolescents, and
adults. Ben sees clients ages 10+.
APPROACH
Ben seeks to approach therapy with a non-anxious and compassionate presence, aiming to come
alongside clients with acceptance, curiosity and a gentle guidance. In addition to Ben’s training in the
assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health challenges, Ben is a trained practitioner of
family-systems theory. Ben places an emphasis on helping his clients better understand their desires,
hopes, relationships, behaviors, and struggles through the lens of their multi-generational family system
and dynamics. Ben also utilizes and is trained in a variety of other therapeutic approaches in supporting his
client’s hopes for support, healing, and empowerment.
CLINICAL INTERESTS
Ben’s clinical interests include couples/family therapy, identity development, grief and loss support, men’s
issues, and spiritual formation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Ben holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Ben
has been serving the community as a professional mental health practitioner for over 12 years. Ben also
has several years of experience working as a secondary school administrator as well as a teacher and
youth leader within a variety of educational, spiritual, mentoring contexts.
PERSONAL
Ben enjoys running, swimming, the sunshine, and spending time with his wife, kids, friends and extended
family.
