Ali Arteaga, MA, Mental Health Practitioner (she/her)

APPROACH

Ali’s approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that clients are inherently capable of healing and growth. Anchored in the values of curiosity, empowerment, and connection, her therapeutic approach combines practical resources that cultivate confidence with exploration that gets at the root of whatever is holding you back.

Therapy with Ali feels like a soft place to land that invites you into deeper self-awareness, self-compassion, and authentic living. She believes clients are able to reclaim their lives and experience lasting change when they feel seen, known, and genuinely accepted.

She utilizes relational and experiential modalities, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients rediscover their innate goodness and wisdom.

CLINICAL INTERESTS

Ali loves working with the cycle breakers, especially the new parent who wants to create generational change with their kids.

She offers intuitive care to adults navigating anxiety, depression, people-pleasing and perfectionism, life transitions, and those who hope to heal from past relationship patterns or experiences that are holding them back from building authentic, fulfilling connections. She’s especially passionate about supporting other helpers and healers.

She also brings a depth of experience working with neurodiverse, disabled, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ folks, as well as veterans.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Ali’s educational journey began with a Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Towson University, Maryland, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. She has pursued additional trainings in IFS therapy and is an EMDR-trained clinician.

Ali has supported people in processing deep-rooted experiences and systemic challenges in private practice settings since 2021. Prior to that, she has been championing the holistic wellness of folks across a variety of non-clinical spaces since 2012, including the U.S. Air Force and non-profit spaces serving the disability community. Ali’s diverse professional background contributes to her unique ability to connect deeply with all those she crosses paths with.

PERSONAL

Ali recharges by spending time with her husband and loved ones, being in nature, snuggling up with a good book, writing her novel, moving her body, and watching her favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls.
