Cassidy Famularo, MS, LPCC, LADC (she/her)
Cassidy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) who specializes in working with older adolescents and young adults. Cassidy’s approach to therapy is person-centered and she wants to meet you for who you are and what you’ve been through. She believes that you are uniquely you, and capable of incredible change. Her role as a therapist is to walk beside you on your journey while you lead the way. She works side by side with you to develop your capabilities, explore achievable goals, and create action to improve your circumstances.
Cassidy works with you to uncover your strengths and give you back your power. She believes in tackling the tough stuff directly so we will get down to the nitty gritty in due time. Her therapeutic approach also utilizes concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based perspective, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused strategies.
Cassidy works with clients dealing with a variety of issues including but not limited to substance misuse/abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, codependent relationships, and life transitions. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is a great intervention for those struggling to break free from the lasting impacts of trauma, unhelpful thinking patterns, and self-sabotaging behaviors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Cassidy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling and Community Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation and Addictions Counseling from Saint Cloud State University.
Cassidy is both a dog and a cat person! Outside of work, her 2 dogs and cat occupy her personal bubble and are such a joy in her life. She also loves spending time with family, friends, traveling, participating in community events, and spending time outdoors.
